Oh hey,

I’m Kels.

I’m a multidisciplinary product designer with
e-commerce, fintech, and healthcare SaaS experience, living and working in the Pacific Northwest.

With over fifteen years of experience working on everything from toys-to-life second screen apps, b2b SaaS products to even bleeding edge augmented reality wearables I’ve been fortunate to work with world class brands, helping shape and bring great product experiences to a global audience.

When I’m not working you can find me reading, or groaning through my baseball team trying to close out a game. Outside of traditional and swishy product design, I’m a big fan of illustrative typography, mid-century illustration, and a retro avocado color palette.

What I bring to the work

(I’m a big fan of intentional making, visual language as a business differentiator and technology that makes being human, better.)

I move comfortably across disciplines and modalities. From shaping visual systems, to leading research that grounds decisions in real user behaviour and embedding the best of agentic tools into my process. I think of this not as a collection of skills, but as a way of meeting problems where they are.

Range

I sweat the details. I believe craft and speed aren't at odds. That the most intentional work is often the most efficient. I bring that conviction to everything, no matter the size or scope.

Intention

People are my favourite part of the work. I've led large, high-performing design teams at global organizations like Shopify and lululemon, growing teams, coaching designers, and consistently raising the bar on craft and quality.

Leadership

A side practice
with some accolades.
